Beauty of Joseon is a skincare brand made with Hanbang (Traditional herbal medicine) ingredients handed down from the Joseon Dynasty. We believe healthy skincare habits relieve us and enrich our daily lives. We sincerely hope our products can relieve your tensions and stresses, and give you a healthier and more peaceful life.

 

Our products are suitable for all ages and skin types. Beauty of Joseon products are formulated with Hanbang ingredients and hypoallergenic. However, the degree of irritation may differ depending on the skin type, so if you have sensitive skin, we strongly recommend that you do a patch test before use.

 

Products for each skin type are listed in the product menu, and you can get information on which BOJ products to choose and in what order to use them according to your skin type from our BLOG and Instagram. The expiration date of Beauty of Joseon’s cosmetics is 3 years from the date of manufacture and 12 months after opening.

Avoid direct sunlight and store in a cool place.

Hormones changes during pregnancy can cause problems even with ingredients that were originally not a problem. Breast-feeding women may experience hormonal changes as well. We strongly recommend you to consult your doctor before using our products if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

All our products are cruelty-free. We do not use animal ingredients and we do not test on animals.

Rice Bran Water, Ginsengroot water, Green Plum Water, Propolis, Green Tea Leaf Water, and Prunus Mume Flower Water were used in our products. Hanbang ingredients are healthy ingredients that have been consumed as medicines and food for a long time, and also function as excellent skin care ingredients. Every time we make a new skin care product, we first think about Hanbang ingredients suitable for each skin concern. By combining modern ingredients that can create the most synergy, we are making good products worthy of being called a “gift”.

 

Rice Bran Water
During the Joseon Dynasty, rice bran water was called ‘miansu,’ which signifies water that beautifies the skin, and was used like today’s toner. It is rich in amino acids and minerals to help keep the skin bright and moist.


Ginseng root water
Ginseng, which is recorded as ‘Sincho’ in Donguibogam, is said to have been used as a bath water by Hwang Jin Yi, the best gisaeng in the Joseon Dynasty. Studies have proven that saponin, which is rich in ginseng, helps prevent blood circulation and skin aging, promotes moisture supply, and helps keep moisture deep in the skin for a long period of time.


Green Plum Water
It is recorded in Donguibogam that plum has an effect of restoring vitality as it has been used as herbal medicine since the ancient times. Citric acid and natural AHA ingredients that are abundantly included in plum gently exfoliate dead skin cells and activate the skin turnover cycle to help shed old cells and grow new healthy skin cells.


Propolis
There is a record that women in the Joseon Dynasty used honey and grain powder as a wash-off mask pack to care for their skin. Honey is rich in anti-inflammatory properties, making it an effective ingredient for hydrating the skin and fighting acne.


Green Tea Leaf Water
There is a record in Donguibogam that green tea, which has a history of 5,000 years, lowers blood pressure, helps digestion, keeps the head and eyes clear, and refreshes the energy. Vitamin C and catechin ingredients in green tea hinder the synthesis of melanin pigments and help soothe skin damaged by ultraviolet rays.


Prunus Mume Flower Water
Plum tree flowers are rich in antioxidants such as polyphenols and flavonoids, and makes the skin clear and moist.

MasterCard, Visa, PayPal, Amax, JCB, and Unionpay are available. You can choose to pay with only one payment method per order.

 

Sometimes, our system does not accept the credit cards that are not issued with your own name or issued in a different country where you currently reside. Plesae use a credit card that is issued with your own name.

Shipping and Deliveries

US Nationwide deliveries will be delivered in 3-4 business days guaranteed.

The tracking code is usually updated within 2-3 business days after placing your order, and you can check it in the order list after logging in. The tracking code will be updated after the product is shipped, and it may take 1-3 business days for tracking information to appear.
